But just three years later, the unthinkable happened – a wildfire which had started in a rural part of Sonoma County picked up speed overnight, tearing across the highway and into their suburban neighborhood.
It was a night they won’t soon forget. Sean and Jenna were happy to escape with their lives, but their home was lost. Overnight, virtually the entire Coffey Park neighborhood had been leveled.
Shortly afterward, they got another surprise – Jenna was expecting their first child.
“We were so overwhelmed,” Jenna remembers. “But we knew we wanted to stay and raise our son in Santa Rosa.”
Jenna and Sean interviewed over 9 builders, but left each feeling disheartened. “They would maybe return a phone call, but did nothing to make us feel hopeful or cared for.” That’s when they discovered Homebound.
Sean loved Homebound’s modern approach, and was excited that he would be able to receive photo updates and choose finishes online.
Homebound was “by far the most professional, organized, and personal builder we met,” Jenna remembers. From the first meeting, “we knew that we would be taken care of.”
The couple worked with Homebound to design the perfect home while staying in their budget.
They were able to add a number of “fun features we always wanted in a home, but hadn’t thought were feasible before,” ending up with a home that’s even better than it was before.
In the fall of 2019, Jenna, Sean, and their young son Rowan returned to Coffey Park to a brand new home, ready to take on life’s next chapter.
